Modern Hotel Booking is built on a privacy-first principle. Your guest data never leaves your server.
1. Data Storage & Ownership
Unlike traditional Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) reservation systems that store guest information in third-party cloud datacenters, Modern Hotel Booking operates entirely locally. All booking data, room logs, pricing configurations, and customer contact information are saved exclusively inside your own WordPress database. We do not collect, store, or transmit your guest or admin data to our servers.
2. AI Concierge Data Handling
When the AI Concierge receptionist is enabled on your website, guest chat queries and property context (such as amenities and pricing rules) are transmitted securely to your configured AI API provider (Google Gemini or OpenAI). This data is processed only to generate real-time receptionist answers.
To preserve guest privacy, conversation histories are cached locally as WordPress Transients for a maximum of 2 hours, after which they are automatically pruned. No personally identifiable information (PII) is permanently saved by the AI Concierge plugin suite.
3. Rate Limiting & Abuse Prevention
To protect your WordPress website database from spam and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) requests on booking endpoints, the plugin stores anonymized per-IP request counts. These counts are registered as transients with a 2-minute Time-To-Live (TTL) and are automatically deleted. No IP addresses are permanently saved in our system logs.
4. Third-Party Integrations
The plugin supports optional, user-configured connections to external payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, and Revolut) and calendar synchronization feeds (Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO, and Google Calendar via iCal feeds). These services are governed by their respective privacy policies, and no PageRank or user credentials are shared by the plugin itself.
5. GDPR Compliance
The Pro edition of Modern Hotel Booking includes a built-in GDPR compliance toolkit. Administrators can easily add mandatory privacy consent checkboxes to checkouts and run automated PII erasure routines to delete or anonymize guest booking histories from the database upon formal customer request.
