Learn how to configure Room Categories and individual Units to manage your accommodation inventory without conflicts.
1. Create Room Categories
Room Categories act as marketing containers defining the properties of a group of identical rooms (e.g. “Double Deluxe”). To add one:
- Go to Hotel Booking > Room Types > Add New.
- Input a title, description, and base night rate.
- Define capacity boundaries: Max Adults, Max Children, and total capacity limits.
- Check appropriate amenities (e.g. WiFi, Pool, Air Conditioning).
- Publish the category.
2. Add Individual Room Inventory
Once categories are established, add the physical rooms:
- Go to Hotel Booking > Rooms > Add New.
- Enter the room name or number (e.g. “Room 101”).
- Select the parent Room Category from the dropdown.
- Publish the room to allocate it to the active availability pool.
